Position Summary: The UW Division of Geriatrics/Wisconsin
Alzheimer's Institute is seeking a full-time Research Specialist to
coordinate research related activities for an Alzheimer's disease
prevention project titled, "African Americans Fighting Alzheimer's
in Midlife (AA-FAiM)." The AA-FAiM Project will examine midlife
markers of Alzheimer's disease in African Americans in the
Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention (WRAP) Study. This
position will be based in Milwaukee at the Wisconsin Alzheimer's
Institute Milwaukee Office (WAI MKE).
The incumbent will be responsible to work as the research
specialist to lead the outreach and recruitment efforts for the
WRAP AA-FAiM study at the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute Milwaukee
Office and will report to the Outreach Program Director. While the
research specialist's duties will be focused on work with African
Americans and members of other under-represented groups (URG), the
WRAP AA-FAiM research specialist will work as a member of the
Milwaukee Outreach team focusing efforts on the African American
study participants.
