Degree and area of specialization: Master's Degree required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: -Minimum 5 years experience in student services for the non-traditional student (e.g. returning adults, international students, pre-college, etc.), with admissions, advising and/or counseling, in higher education
-Commitment to and interest in extending services to and building partnerships with clients beyond the campus
-Demonstrated work with grants, scholarships and donors
-Proven personnel management and leadership skills with commitment to employee development and working in a team environment
-Experience with an automated student record system desirable

Position Summary: The Associate Dean, Director of Adult Career and Special Student Services (ACSSS), will lead four internal work teams: International, domestic, frontline, and career counseling team. This individual will lead a diverse collaborative team in an effort to coordinate a full slate of highly integrated activity to advocate for and demonstrate how nontraditional student are central to the University's mission.
The position reports directly to the Dean of Continuing Studies and will work collaboratively with the Division's leadership and units, to develop strategies that will contribute to the Division's growth and advocacy for the non-traditional student. The successful candidate will work in a team environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds, coordinate multiple demands on time within budget and help the Division think creatively about revenue growth opportunities. This position must have the ability to educate, advise, collaborate, and serve numerous constituencies, including, staff, campus partners, agents, students, and the public.
