Responsibilities
The Director for Wellness Education, Intervention, and Prevention will assist in the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of campus wide wellness programming and student intervention strategies. The Director for Wellness, Intervention, and Prevention Initiatives will recruit and engage students to support the development of a campus culture that supports and inspires personalized health priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Work Experience:
o Requires a Master's degree in Health Sciences, Human Development, Behavioral Health, or other related disciplines
o Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 year of related experience and progressive leadership may be considered
o Must possess experience in a collegiate or health education related environment and
o Must have the ability to effectively interact with faculty, staff, students, parents, and administrators
o Computer expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
o Must possess aptitude for numbers, accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Position requires an individual to work independently to meet deadlines
o Must be able to advise and interact with students and administrators

Skills and/or Abilities:
o Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
o Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills
o Must have superior interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity
o Proficiency with Windows environment including word processing, and knowledge of database programs
o Must be a self-starter and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Demonstrated ability to organize and work independently and as part of a team
o Ability to respect confidentiality and ethical boundaries with regard to guidelines, supervision and professional consultation within an academic environment

Preferred Qualifications
o CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) certification preferred
o Current CPR certification preferred. First Aid certification preferred

Job Duties

Responsibility / Duty
Wellness Programming
o Ensure compliance with relevant laws, including but not limited to Title IX, Clery Act, FERPA , U.S. Department of Education Drug Free Schools Act; and relevant federal, state, local statutes, and industry best practices
o Design programs and initiatives based on institutional needs, national wellness and well-being practices.
o In partnership with the Student Health Center and the Counseling Center, coordinates the planning and delivery of wellness programs including health awareness (bulletin boards, newsletters), educational campaigns (lunch n learn workshops), behavior change programs (weight management, smoking cessation), health assessments/screenings (biometric events, incentive programs, health fairs etc.)
o Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and responding to data to measure outcomes wellness programming and initiatives

Student Support
o Assist in the re-entry process of students, CARE Team, Saints Care and initiatives which support the retention and graduation of students
o Provide direct support to individual students, student organizations, and students in crisis
o Develop and implement significant evening and weekend programming to engage students = focusing on multiple communities: residential, commuter, graduate, and undergraduate

Institutional/Departmental Liaison
o Serve as liaison to the University Wellness Committee
o Lead the Student Affairs Drug Free School and Campuses Act Review Committee.
o Serve as primary resource for Athletics and Recreation and other University partners seeking support, information, and guidance related to policies and protocol regarding student health and wellness
o Assume a prominent role with Saints Care recruitment of students and prevention activities
o Participate, as needed, as a member of the CARE Team

Marketing and Website
o Contribute to the development of a robust web experience for students
o Leverage technology based on needs assessment, best practices, market analysis and trend data to advance organizational mission
o Work across digital platforms to reach and engage targeted student constituencies for program and wellness initiatives
o Develop synergy among marketing and initiatives from the Counseling Center, Student Engagement, Student Health Center
