Job Description:

York College of Pennsylvania seeks a dynamic, visionary, and creative professional to lead a comprehensive international recruitment program. The Director of International Recruitment is responsible for contributing to the overall recruitment efforts of the College and planning and implementing procedures and programs for attracting and matriculating undergraduate and graduate students with a specific focus on international recruitment. The Director travels four-to-six weeks in each regular term as determined by the Director of Admission.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing a global recruitment plan.
  • Interviewing prospective students and increasing inquiry pool, successfully managing inquiries, applicants, enrollments, and outreach initiatives.
  • Representing the College at local, national, and international recruitment fairs.
  • Enhancing online recruitment tactics such as recorded information sessions, social media and e-mail campaigns to promote new and updated programs, services, and events.
  • Serving as DSO and issuing I-20s to accepted international students.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with international partners and recruitment agents.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Requirements:

A bachelor's degree is required with a masters preferred. Five years of direct admission experience is a minimum requirement. Preference will be given with experience within a higher education environment, international recruitment, and/or the secondary counseling level; familiarity with selective liberal arts colleges and non-profit organizations; exemplary oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to work independently and with a team as well as with various constituencies; must be able to travel, evening and weekend hours, and a valid driver's license and passport are required. Requires excellent functional skills including knowledge of and facility with a variety of desktop computer programs.
