Job Description:
A didactic faculty member in the Surgical Technology Program must be a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology Program with an AAS degree in Surgical Technology, hold a Baccalaureate Degree in a related field and maintain (NBSTSA) Certification in Surgical Technology (CST).
OR
A licensed registered nurse with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, PLUS an AAS degree in Surgical Technology from a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology Program, and maintain (NBSTSA) Certification in Surgical Technology (CST).
Requirements:
In addition, current CPR/BCLS certification must be maintained. Applicants must be qualified to teach any area of the Surgical Technology program. Must have a minimum total of 2 years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an Instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past 5 years.
