Job Summary
The Kentucky Office of Rural Health within the department of Rural Kentucky Health Care is seeking a Rural Project Manager to utilize proven project management skills to plan, develop and coordinate rural-focused projects.
The position will develop, coordinate and conduct activities including workshops, events, presentations and consultations related to the identified needs of rural stakeholders.
Provide or arrange for technical assistance to rural Kentucky communities in assessing and improving health care delivery systems, including strategic planning, needs assessments and community based decision making activities.
This position will serve as a subject matter expert on Substance Abuse issues. Candidates should be experienced in public speaking and group facilitation. A familiarity with rural hospitals, clinics and EMS would be helpful but not required.
Candidate must have ability to manage, plan and organize multiple activities, possess strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. The position may require extensive travel.
This position is located in Hazard, KY and is a 12 month grant funded position.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Communication skills- written and verbal, personal organization, community assessment, group facilitation, project management, knowledge of Substance Abuse.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience
Experience in public speaking and group facilitation.
