Job Summary
The Department of Neurology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member as Chief of the Division of Child Neurology. This position will report directly to the Chief of Neurology. As Chief, he/she will be expected to lead a team of pediatric neurologists to expand and enhance current inpatient and outpatient clinical programs that currently serve the children and families of Kentucky.
General duties include:
-Manage a clinical Division of Child Neurology that provides specialty care to the children of Kentucky in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
-Evaluate, diagnose and manage children with neurological conditions.
-Develop a division schedule for clinical services.
-Educate residents, medical students, and fellows as assigned.
-Pursue external funding support to build new clinical services and research programs.
-Participate on committees to represent the Department of Neurology and the Division of Child Neurology as requested by the Chair
-Attend Department faculty meetings and Divisional conferences as required.
