Aid in the preparation and implementation of a program appropriate for a designated group of young children when assigned to fill in for a regular staff member who is absent. This is an on call position.
Required Skills
Work is typically performed in both indoor and outdoor early childhood learning environments. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, run, stand, bend, jump, move freely, and lift up to 40 pounds to support the indoor and outdoor activity of children; keep children within sight and sound at all times; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; learn and apply new information or skills; interact with the Manager, Supervisor, children, classroom and Center staff, parents, family members, college students, and others encountered in the course of work.
Required Experience
Experience with children in a group setting. Good interpersonal skills.

Preferred: Twelve college credit hours in early childhood education. Experience with word processing and general computer use. Experience with children within the age range of 12 months to 6 years. Experience in a child care center or preschool.
