Job Description:

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at the University of Florida invites applications for a faculty position in Audiology. Candidates will be considered at the Assistant and Associate Professor level. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) 12-month, tenured or tenure-track faculty position. Individuals with expertise in any area of diagnostic or rehabilitative audiology are encouraged to apply, but those with interests in electrophysiology or cochlear implants will be given special consideration. The successful candidate must have a program of research in the candidate’s area of primary interest that is funded or would be highly competitive for future funding. Applicants must possess a PhD in Audiology or Hearing Science. Applicants holding a PhD-AuD will be given preference.

SLHS is housed within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and is well integrated within the Health Science Center, providing a wealth of opportunities for scholarly collaborations. We are a large department with more than 40 academic and clinical faculty members addressing a multi-faceted mission that encompasses education, clinical service, and research. We just obtained academic accreditation that continues for eight years. The Health Science Center is one of the largest in the nation, with six separate colleges.

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a program of research in the candidate’s area of primary interest that is funded or would be highly competitive for future funding. Applicants holding a PhD-AuD will be given preference.
