Classification Title: Data Management Analyst II Job Description:

The Institute for Child Health Policy (ICHP) supports contracts with Texas and Florida Medicaid agencies and conducts policy research utilizing these and other health data resources.

This position is part of a data management team responsible for data warehousing, management and analysis. Responsibilities include: 1) Designing and managing data file systems from multiple research projects that include multiple data sets and or data platforms. 2) Participation in design and implementation of research and evaluation studies. 3) Conducting statistical data analyses and participation in interpretation of results. 4) Assisting with data collection, and reporting and contributing to scientific reports, conference papers, and journal articles

  • Design and manage data file systems from multiple research projects that include multiple data sets using a variety of database and statistical software tools, for example, SAS, SQL, and Excel;
  • Optimize data summary and reporting using various software tools including SAS programming, SQL code, Excel Macros (Visual Basic), and running stored procedures; generate output for presentation in scientific reports, conference papers, and journal articles
  • Conduct statistical data analyses, write statistical programming code for software such as SAS, Stata, S-Plus, SPSS, and participate in interpretation of results to be presented in scientific reports, conference papers, and journal articles
  • Participate in design and implementation of research and evaluation studies.
Advertised Salary:

50,000 - 62,061

Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diverse skills in data management, programming, and statistical methods; ability and experience working with a number of software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, Excel, and Access).

Ability to work independently, with initiative, manage time and work with minimal supervision to analyze problems and take appropriate action to complete projects
