Job Description:

The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clinical practice in inpatient internal medicine and subspecialty services at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, clinical instruction, didactic classroom teaching and conducting scholarly activity. This is a unique clinical practice environment that focuses on providing instruction and assessing competency of practicing pharmacists enrolled in the Working Professional PharmD program. There may also be opportunities to be involved with entry-level PharmD students in classroom, experiential, and extra-curricular settings. The individual should have strong skills in managing and monitoring medication-related problems in an acute care environment, pharmacokinetic consults, and inter-professional interaction/education for team-based learning. Minimum Requirements:

The applicant should have a Pharm.D. degree with 2 years of post-graduate training (residency, fellowship or equivalent experience). Eligibility for Florida licensure is required. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. FDLE Criminal Background Check Required.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience, demonstrated scholarship, and experience in mentoring students and/or residents is preferred. Special Instructions to Applicants:
