Duties will include:

  • Determining the molecular basis of epigenetic changes during progression of breast and colon cancer in the genomes of cultured cells and patient-derived tumors.

  • Development of innovative, single-molecule epigenetic assays of DNA methylation and chromatin structure; analysis of protein-DNA interactions in vitro and in vivo, e.g., by chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP); and genome editing by CRISPR/Cas9 to test the functional relevance of regulatory sequences.

  • Researching, interpreting, and critically evaluating primary literature; compiling and analysis of data; and maintaining a complete, accurate, and up-to-date lab notebook.
