Job Description
The Department of Educational and Human Sciences invites applications for a tenure-earning assistant professor position in the Sport and Exercise Science program. The individual selected for this position will conduct research, teach and advise students in the Sport and Exercise Science Program on the University of Central Florida Orlando ( UCF ) campus. This position is a nine-month appointment and expected to start August 2018.
The College of Education and Human Performance employs about 125 full‐time faculty members serving approximately 5,700 students in 10 undergraduate programs and 25 graduate programs.
The Sport and Exercise Science program is the fastest growing program in the College of Education and Human Performance with more than 1,300 students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Graduate work includes preparing students for both master's and doctoral degrees.


Position Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Exercise Physiology or a related discipline from an accredited institution by the start of the appointment period.


Preferences
Preference will be given to applicants who have proven ability in conducting and publishing research, working collaboratively within a research team, have a strong potential to obtain external funding, and can demonstrate evidence of successful university teaching in exercise physiology or a related discipline.
