The Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in public policy or public administration beginning August 2018. The appointment is renewable based on funding, need, performance, and mutual agreement; this position also may be converted to tenure track based on enrollment growth in the Department's programs. The teaching load for this position is nine hours (three courses) per semester.

The position is open with regard to specialization. Successful candidates will be able to offer courses for the department's undergraduate program in political science and its NASPAA -accredited master's degree program in public administration; evidence of a promising research agenda in topics related to public administration and/or public policy is also essential. A Ph.D. in political science, public policy, or public administration is expected at the time of the appointment.

Preference will be given to applications received by January 31, 2018, but applicants will be considered until the position is filled.
