The Department of Biology at Carleton College is seeking applications for a temporary, one-year position at the Assistant Professor level for the 2015-2016 academic year. We seek a recent PhD in biology or biochemistry with a strong commitment to teach in a liberal-arts environment. The position will involve teaching over three terms (September 1, 2015 through mid-June 2016). The teaching duties will include an upper-level Biochemistry course with two labs, a course with lab in area of specialty, a seminar course in area of expertise, and teaching introductory biology laboratory sections. Carleton College is a highly selective liberal arts college with about 2000 undergraduates located 45 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and is on a three term per year schedule.
