Position Summary
The University of Idaho College of Law seeks to fill an entry-level, tenure-track position beginning in the fall of 2015. Anticipated curricular needs include Contracts, Civil Procedure, and Professional Responsibility. Applicants must have 1) a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school or the equivalent; 2) a distinguished academic record; and 3) post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience. In addition, applicants should show promise as excellent teachers and productive scholars demonstrated by prior law teaching experience and published scholarship.

Associate professors will have demonstrated effective teaching or the potential for effective teaching, the ability to conduct and direct scholarly activities in his or her special field, and provide service to the university and/or his or her profession. Evidence of this ability includes quality publications or manuscripts of publishable merit; and/or unusually productive scholarship in teaching and learning; and/or significant artistic creativity; and/or major contributions to the scholarship of outreach/application/engagement. Associate professors are expected to play more significant roles in initiating, conducting, and directing scholarly activities, and in providing intramural and extramural professional service.
