The College of Business at Ohio University invites applications for one or two tenure-track faculty member(s) in Finance at the Assistant level. The appointments begin in August 2015.

The successful candidate must be willing to teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, both residential and off campus, advise students, undertake and publish quality research, and perform administrative and other activities associated with the School.



The College of Business at Ohio University invites applications for one Chaired Professor Position in Finance at the Assistant level. The appointments begin in August 2015.

The record of the successful candiate must merit appointment as a tenured, full professor. The successful candidate must be willing to teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, both residential and off campus, advise students, undertake and publish quality research, and perform administrative and other activities associated with the School.



OU currently has the following databases: CRSP, Compustat (Research Insight), OptionMetrics, Datastream, and SDC and access to Bloomberg and FactSet.

Undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Business are accredited by the AACSB. The undergraduate business curriculum emphasizes applied learning and student engagement. At the graduate level the college maintains a residential MBA, an online MBA, and a Professional MBA that serves the region. Internationally the college has summer graduate and undergraduate consulting experiences in countries such as Italy, Greece, Germany, Hungary, China, India, Denmark, France and Spain. Finance faculty members have opportunities to participate in all these programs.

Minimum Qualifications: An earned doctorate or equivalent degree in finance, or a related field, from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution by Fall 2014, and the potential for or demonstrated experience in both teaching and scholarly research.
