FACULTY POSITION IN
APPLIED MATHEMATICS OR CLOSELY RELATED AREAS
Applications and nominations are invited for a tenured faculty position beginning July 1, 2015. Applications are welcome from those working in Applied Mathematics or areas with strong ties to the applications of mathematics. The position will be at the Associate or Full Professor level.
A PhD in Mathematics is required. Tenured associate and full professor applicants are expected to be a leader in his/her research area with an outstanding academic record. Responsibilities of these positions include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses and seminars, conducting scholarly research and participation in departmental and university service activities. The successful candidate is expected to help build a successful graduate program in applied mathematics and to have a strong record in attracting extra-mural funding. Established criteria of the University of California will determine the salary and the level of appointment.
