Job Description

The Information System Department within the College of Business at Iowa State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in Information Systems. Primary responsibilities include both research and teaching in information systems at the undergraduate, Master's and Ph.D. levels.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related field. Strong scholarly research record as evidenced by publications (or progress toward publications) in top-tier journals. Evidence of effectiveness in classrooms.

For consideration to Associate Professor rank, applicants must meet, in addition to the above qualifications, the university standards for appointment to the rank, including publications in premier journals in management information systems or related fields and demonstrated ability as a successful classroom teacher.

Applicants for Professor must have, in addition, a strong national and international scholarly reputation.  

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in business analytics, statistics, programming, and a demonstrated ability to teach a variety of Information Systems courses at the undergraduate, Master's or Ph.D. levels.

Experience, established research, and national and international reputation to warrant associate or professor status is preferred. 

Salary - competitive and commensurate with qualifications
