The Department of Psychology at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) invites applications for a tenure-track position to teach a core-curriculum course in leadership science and other courses in psychology. Degree requirements for the position include the Ph.D. (or ABD) with academic qualifications to teach both leadership and other psychology courses. Prior military experience is not required for this position. Normal teaching load is 3:3.
VMI ranked 18th out of the 665 colleges and universities listed in the 2014 Money magazine National Best Colleges (4th among public schools), and 4th in the 2014 edition of U.S. News Best Public National Liberal Arts Colleges. Located in Lexington (Virginia), a picturesque college town in the Shenandoah Valley.
