Founded in 1891, the School of Engineering comprises six academic departments and additional interdisciplinary programs, offering 10 ABET accredited undergraduate degree programs and advanced degrees in 17 fields of study. The school currently employs 110 tenured and tenure-track faculty, including two National Academy members. The school's Building on Excellence Initiative is adding 30 new faculty members over a five year period. Enrollment has grown by 25% since 2008 and last year included approximately 2,145 undergraduates, 426 master's, and 216 doctoral students. A research facility, dedicated in fall 2012, and a state-of-the-art research and teaching building, scheduled for completion in 2015, will combine to add more than 180,000 square feet to the engineering complex.
The School of Engineering is in the midst of one of the most exciting and vibrant growth periods in its history. It now seeks 14 new faculty members in the areas of:

Chemical & Petroleum Engineering - (2 Positions) - Director of Tertiary Oil Recovery Program (TORP); and Petroleum Engineering

Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering - (5 Positions) - Structural Engineering; (3 Positions); Hydrology and Water Resources; and Power (Professor of the Practice)

Electrical Engineering & Computer Science - (4 Positions) - Data Science/Health Informatics; Computer Architecture and Reconfigurable Computing; Bioinformatics; and Wireless Devices, Communications and Applications

Mechanical Engineering - (2 Positions) - Additive Manufacturing; and Water Conservation in Industrial Processes
