The J. Crayton Pruitt Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for a full time non tenure track Lecturer.

Candidates should have a background and experience in teaching, undergraduate career advising and ABET accreditation.

Duties and responsibilities include: Enhancing and teaching the two-semester senior design course and other courses as assigned; foster substantial interaction with the University of Florida College of Medicine and related Health Science Units, as well as the biomedical industry in the area; play a leading role in undergraduate career advising and ABET accreditation efforts; teaching assignments will be made according to background and experience and will be 3 course sections per fall and spring semester; evaluate current laboratory exercises for effectiveness of student learning outcomes; enhance and develop new laboratory exercises; work with other faculty to align laboratory with coursework; coordinate purchases of laboratory supplies and equipment and manage student lab fees in accordance with University policy; collect data and manage course contents for ABET accreditation purposes in conjunction with the Undergraduate Affairs Committee; in addition, there may be other laboratory and teaching activities as directed by the department chair.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a Ph.D., preferably in Biomedical Engineering or a related field. We encourage inquiries from other individuals who have highly applicable experience and skills, such as in a related biomedical industry.
