Job Description: The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to lead the academic effort of a 10 physician pediatric hospitalist team at Wolfson ChildrenHospital. U.S. News & World Report ranks Wolfson ChildrenHospital as among the best childrenhospitals. Wolfson is the major inpatient teaching facility for the UF College of Medicine-Jacksonville Residency Training Program. This lead position will have 50% protected time to spearhead quality improvement endeavors, to facilitate clinical research, and to develop a hospitalist fellowship training program. This position will report to the Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine for clinical activities and to the UF Chair of Pediatrics for academic activities and will work closely with hospital leadership. The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment in education, quality improvement, and clinical research in hospital medicine. The qualified candidate will also have an affinity to work collaboratively with other team members and subspecialists to care for children with a full breadth of medical and surgical conditions. This position will be at the tenure or non-tenure accruing level of Associate Professor in the Division of Hospital Pediatrics. Salary is negotiable. Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have either an MD or DO and be board certified in Pediatrics.
