The Associate Registrar will serve as a core member of the leadership team in the Office of Registration and Records and coordinate various project details, including online bulletin communication, online directory and dates and deadlines updates, evaluate and coordinate comprehensive communication to campus community via email, website, and social media, collaborating with multiple departments as necessary.  Serve as a supervisor to registration support team.  Gather statistical data and complete select institutional, state and federal reports.  Coordinate NDSU commencement ceremonies.  Assist in the creation, interpretation, and implementation of administrative policy. Assist registrar with other activities, such as records retention planning and assessment.  Ensure the integrity, security and maintenance of all student academic records for current and former students and develop and implement strategies to maintain effective and efficient operations within the office. Provide excellent service to students, advisers, faculty, staff, and others served by the Office of Registration and Records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Five years professional work experience in a college or university student or educational services office
  • Three years of experience supervising multiple staff (or students) at any level
  • Professional and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Office, email and student information system
  • Display consistency and success in adhering to deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and diversity
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and schedule in an efficient and productive manner with attention to detail
  • Ability to be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in communication
  • Prior large-event planning experience
  • Three years professional work experience in a registrar office
  • Experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle student information system
