WWU is currently seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join the University Advancement team as Senior Director of Development & Leadership Gifts. University Advancement is a division of the university which provides resources and support to both the WWU Foundation and the WWU Alumni Association. The new Senior Director will report to and work closely with the Vice President for University Advancement on high-level gifts focused on the most significant University priorities. In addition to carrying a leadership gift portfolio, the successful candidate will manage the major gift program and oversee a staff of 13. As the University heads into the public phase of its comprehensive campaign, the new Senior Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of highly tailored and personalized engagement strategies, gift solicitations, and stewardship processes.

A proven track record of success in major gift fundraising and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience managing a fundraising staff and volunteers is crucial. Prior work history at a higher education institution, experience with comprehensive campaigns, and the ability to work with a diverse student body, staff, and constituents is preferred. A bachelors degree is required.
