The Exercise Science program at Kent State University invites applications for a full time, 9-month tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level starting in August 2015.  Exercise Science is part of the School of Health Sciences and the College of Education, Health, and Human Services, and offers the BS, MS and PhD degrees.

 

Qualified candidates will have obtained their PhD in Exercise Science or a related field. Post-doctoral experience and ACSM or NSCA certification are preferred but not mandatory.  Candidates must have evidence of a productive and focused scientific line of inquiry focusing upon applied, human-based research.  The search committee is open to a variety of research topics including, but not limited to, clinical exercise science, sport performance, environmental physiology and physical activity behavior.  Candidates must exhibit the potential to seek and obtain extramural grants.  The individual will also be required to teach and mentor students in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in Exercise Science.
