Elon University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Public Health Studies program beginning mid-August, 2015, with an interest in assuming coordination of the program in the 2016-2017 academic year.
Candidates should have the ability to teach broadly within the major, including courses such as Global Health, Introduction to Epidemiology, Research Methods and a capstone senior seminar in the candidates area of expertise. Applicants must also be prepared to teach in the interdisciplinary Elon Core Curriculum program and demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Candidates must hold a doctorate in public health or masters degree in public health with a terminal degree in a closely related field and are expected to sustain a research agenda that incorporates undergraduates.
