The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Elon University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant professor level in cultural anthropology beginning in fall of 2015. Ph.D. in anthropology required.
Teaching and research specialization should include sex and gender; additional topical and geographical areas are open. Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellent teaching, an active research agenda, a collegial spirit of service to the department and university, and a desire to mentor undergraduate research. Teaching includes introduction to cultural anthropology, qualitative methods, anthropological theory, upper division topics courses in area of specialization, and capstone seminar. Applicants must also be willing to teach in Elons interdisciplinary Core Curriculum program.
