New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), an independent senior comprehensive college with campuses on Long Island, in Manhattan, and in various countries around the globe providing graduate and undergraduate education to over 14,000 students, seeks applications for full-time Art Technologies Director position on Old Westbury Campus. A Masters degree is required in a field pertaining to computer graphics and/or computer science and have at least 4 years of professional experience with Motion Capture technologies. In addition, the following qualifications are preferable: proficiencies in operation, maintenance, software, hardware file system management, networking tasks required to support advanced 3D motion capture labs; familiarity with 3d Printing systems and workflow; and teaching experience at the college level. The positions responsibilities include providing expertise, technical support and assistance to students and faculty with the research and production of courses, professional partnership projects, and interdisciplinary NYIT projects; researching new uses and markets for motion capture, gaming, 3d printing, and other emerging technologies that enhance and support the Fine Arts Departments academic programs; performing and managing motion capture shoots; and fostering industry partnerships that benefit the academic and commercial growth of the Fine Arts Department's Art Media Lab.
