JOB DUTIES:  The Business Analyst will play a vital and active role in recommending process optimization, ensuring data integrity of the Banner system, testing system changes, creating system documentation, and developing reports from the University's student-record system.  Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management duties will include: maintain flow of various federal, state, and institutional financial aid by providing statistics of financial aid recipients; maintain data integrity of the student record system, including prospective students; develop various reports; update system to keep office in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations; maintain strong working relationships with other University departments; serve on the University's scholarship selection committee; accept ownership and explore opportunities for accomplishing new and different requests that will enhance financial aid and other enrollment management departments; and stay abreast of educational opportunities, publications, and professional organizations that will improve job knowledge.  Occasional travel, evening, and weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum requirements include a bachelors degree; plus four years of experience in a related higher education, database management, or business operations setting.  Candidates with a masters degree; knowledge of Argos reporting, Crystal reports, and/or SQL; knowledge of Banner, financial aid, and admissions; and/or knowledge of best practices in financial aid and admissions are preferred.  Demands of the position require strong skills in data management and analysis, collaboration, oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem solving; proven experience in developing reports; strong computer skills with multiple software application experience, such as Banner or other development software, MS Office applications and/or other reporting tool software; and demonstrated experience as an effective and diplomatic liaison between business and information technology stakeholders.  Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
