Department of Communication seeks to hire an Assistant Professor of
Communication (COM) for the fall 2015 term, contingent upon
available funding. The hire is expected to complement the
department's expertise in communication and technology
The ideal candidate is one whose research examines CMC, social media, or emergent technologies through the application of theory. COM faculty members also have expertise in measurement and data analytic procedures in the scientific study of the process of communication. Candidates should hold a doctorate in Communication (or related field) and show evidence of high quality scholarship with strong potential for external funding. Faculty in COM teach 2 courses per semester, advise MA and PhD students, conduct original research, and participate in service at the department, university, and discipline levels.
