UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School sees applicants for the Director of Admissions and Career Services for the Master of Accounting Program.  The position is responsible for student recruitment, enrollment, career training, and employer relations for the Master of Accounting program. The Master of Accounting program encompasses both the on-campus version of the degree (150 students) and the upcoming launch of the online version of the degree, Accounting UNC. This position will have admissions and career oversight over both versions of the degree in an integrated organization. This position will build an organization of 4 to 6 EPA and SPA staff members, creating many of these positions from scratch and leading the hiring process. The Director sets the admissions and career services strategy under the supervision of the Managing Director and Associate Dean for the Master of Accounting program, ensuring consistency and efficiency across both versions of the Master of Accounting degree. The Director will create standard metrics to review the departments success, leading data management and accurate reporting to the various constituents within and outside the University. The Director will manage the departments budget, inclusive of the programs scholarship budget and awards. The Director will work collaboratively with many colleagues across the School, including Director of Marketing of the Master of Accounting Program, MBA UNC Program, UNC Undergraduate Business Program, MBA Career Management Center, UNC, and other departments. This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about higher education and its fast entry into the online environment. This position also uniquely combines Admissions and Career Services, enabling the Director to guide the full life cycle of students, selecting and training students to achieve their career potential. Flexibility and dealing with ambiguity are critical. Masters degree required in business administration, higher education administration, or related disciplines. REQUIRED qualifications: 1. Formal experience in a higher education environment 2. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills 3. Strong communication skills, including writing, interpersonal and presentation skills 4. Comfort working with data and technology 5. Desire and ability to work in a traditional campus and online campus environment 6. Customer service mentality, serving prospective students, current students, and employers 7. Outstanding work ethic, commitment, and can-do attitude 8. Ability to travel (20 ) and work occasional weekends and evenings PREFERRED qualifications: 1. Experience in Admissions or Career Services in a higher education environment 2. Knowledge of the Master of Accounting degree and graduate business education 3. Experience in academic program management 4. Knowledge of social media as a marketing and educational tool.
