New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks a highly organized, self-directed, and effective administrator to provide logistics and administrative support associated with a federal grant and the start-up of a new entity, New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII).  NJII is a New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) corporation that applies the intellectual and technological resources of the states science and technology university to challenges identified by industry partners in collaboration with government and other universities.


The Logistics Coordinator/Administrative Assistant (LC/AA) will support the staff and coordinate logistics for the NJ MarketShift program team. NJ MarketShift is a cutting-edge Department of Defense-funded (DoD) program focused on broadening markets, strengthening innovation, and developing new enterprises within New Jerseys aerospace and defense (A&D) supply chain.  The LC/AA will serve these functions for NJITs newly developing organization, NJII, as its programs develop in parallel with NJ MarketShift.


Provide administrative and logistics support needed for the development and implementation of MarketShift programs, services, and activities.  Organize all of the meeting logistics associated with user group gatherings, to include people and place scheduling, refreshment provisioning, supplies and equipment orchestration, and audio-visual services support.  General meeting scheduling, phone answering, and office administration responsibilities.  Responsible for updating various text documents, spreadsheets, presentation materials, website and electronic information.  Ensure the timely distribution of relevant materials and information to stakeholders in conjunction with meetings, reports, and other MarketShift activities, events, and deliverables.


Key skills include strong communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, meeting planning, and attentiveness to detail.  Typically requires associates degree in business, communications, or related field and 5 years of related experience in office management and meeting planning.  This is an 18 month appointment with an additional 18-24 months expected from the same revenue source.
