The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for an Associate Director, Graduate Student Recruiting. The Associate Director of Recruiting plays a pivotal role in the Lindner College of Business, Graduate Programs Office, having the responsibility of recruiting and attracting outstanding students worldwide to eight business graduate programs. The Associate Director of Recruiting is a member of a eleven person team responsible for supporting the Lindner College of Business Graduate Programs

The Associate Director, working with the Director of Recruiting, the Director of Graduate Programs and the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, will develop and implement short and long range goals, objectives and strategies related to the recruiting of master's students for the Lindner College of Business (LCB); manage relationships with prospects, students, academic directors, faculty, staff and alumni; and represent UC and LCB at local, regional and national functions.

This position reports to the Director of Recruiting.

Specific Responsibilities:
Determine vision, goals, strategies and priorities for admissions, in conjunction with the Director of Recruiting and MS Academic Directors;
Manage from start to finish all aspects of the admission process;
Establish and manage relationships with area employers and LCB alumni;
Represent Lindner MBA and MS programs to prospective students;
Work with the LCB marketing team to develop effective marketing and communication materials related to admissions;
Manage and process admissions for conditionally admitted students (ELS program);
Attend and represent LCB at local, region and national recruiting and branding events;
Develop initiatives to enhance the quality and quantity of students that apply for admission;
Work closely with graduate programs staff, academic directors, and faculty to select the most outstanding applicants for admission;
Develop an array of tools, programs and events that will make the admissions, selection and enrollment process more effective;
Analyze prospect and admissions data resulting in increased enrollment;
Other duties as assigned.  

 

Job Description: Under general supervision from a designated administrator, provide leadership for the administrative and operational activities of an Academic Advising Center.  


Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in related educational program, student affairs administration, counseling, or other related field with 3 years experience. Experience must be in a field related to advising program. Experience may also require at least 1 year supervision.

 

Position Qualification:

1. At least 3 years experience working in admissions, sales or other areas of higher education such as recruiting.
2. At least 3 years supervisor or management experience.
3. At least 3 years experience working in a customer service environment.
4. Must be able to travel, work some weekends and evenings.
5. Master's degree.  

 

Ideal Qualifications:

A. Experience with graduate students a plus.
B. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/databases (ACT)
C. MBA preferred.
