The Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship at Washington State University located in Pullman, WA is seeking qualified candidates for a permanent full-time tenured/tenure-track position in Management Information Systems starting on August 15, 2015.  Appointment is anticipated at the Associate Professor rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Professor.




Earned Ph.D. in information systems or a closely related field.  Record of demonstrated ability to publish in top-tier academic IS journals, and a desire to mentor doctoral students. Demonstrated ability to teach IS courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.




Design and teach courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and/or Ph.D. level in Management Information Systems, particularly in technical areas. Designing and teaching courses in online undergraduate and MBA programs may also be expected. The normal teaching load is 6 hours (2 courses/semester). A productive research program is required and must result in publications in high-quality IS journals.  The successful candidate will be expected to make significant service contributions to the department, college, university, community, and profession commensurate with rank.  Service expectations include leading the development of the undergraduate IS curriculum and mentoring junior faculty and doctoral students. The candidate is expected to have strong leadership potential and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


Term, Compensation and Support: 

Nine-month academic year, beginning on August 15, 2015. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience; benefits are competitive; retirement system is TIAA/CREF.
