The Universitys IT&R, Computer Services and Telecommunications is seeking an Application Systems Analyst/Programmer Sr

The Application Systems Analyst/Programmer Sr Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analyst/programmers. Coordinates with customers, vendors, and University management as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and two years of information technology experience



Selected candidate will be proficient performing analytical and technical tasks and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability and skills to design and develop for relational databases which include writing efficient and well performing SQL; develop, implement, maintain and enhance computer applications.

Preferred candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate, prepare programming and user documentation, meet deadlines, and work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.0 and PeopleTools 8.5x implementation. Knowledge supporting the PeopleSoft modules such as campus community, admissions, student records, HR, payroll, academic advisement, financial aid, student records. Experience and knowledge of development using PeopleCode, SQL, SQR, Application Engine, Component Interface, and PeopleTools. Experience with state reporting requirements, PeopleSoft CRM Marketing, and troubleshooting/debugging code.
