The College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University

invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track finance faculty member at the

Assistant or Associate Professor rank, beginning August, 2015; or possibly, as

soon as January 2015.

Ph.D in finance from an AACSB-international accredited institution (or

other major national university), evidence of effective teaching at the college or

university level, and active research agenda are minimum job qualifications;

however, ABD applicants will also be considered if it is clear the degree will be

conferred by time of the appointment.

The preferred candidate can demonstrate an established, ongoing record of

quality publications commensurate with experience. Primary area of research

and teaching emphasis must be in Corporate Finance; while secondary

interest, experience and/or training in Financial Institutions & Markets

considered to be a plus. Principle teaching assignments would be in our

undergrad corporate finance courses; applicants with teaching experience in

money and capital markets and/or international finance are considered as

highly desirable, particularly for those applying at higher rank. Online

teaching experience is also desirable.

The CMU department of finance and law is comprised of about 15 tenured

and tenure-track faculty (also program directors in personal financial planning

and real estate) with numerous diverse research interests and history of quality

publications. We offer majors in finance, personal financial planning, real

estate; as well as a minor in legal studies. An MBA specialization in finance is
