The Director of Web Communications and Digital Media supports the Office of Enrollment Management and is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to recruit, enroll and retain students. Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, the Director also serves as the Colleges chief web strategist, leveraging digital technologies, video, and social media campaigns that support recruitment of high school and transfer students.


The Director also manages the day-to-day operations of the Colleges website and develops strategies to create dynamic engagement opportunities for other constituencies, including current students, faculty, staff, alumni, members of the College community, and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record developing, managing and analyzing marketing campaigns with measurable results.


Duties and Responsibilities:


       Develop, produce and manage all digital marketing and advertising materials for the Office of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid, Retention and Advocacy, Student Life and multicultural and international students;

       Manage content updates using the Colleges Content Management System (CMS) and related modules that support strategic engagement;

       Provide digital video production design and editing services to enhance audience engagement and create a highly interactive user experience;

       Manage and update the Colleges social media platforms with dynamic, real-time content;

       Feature student success stories as part of the Colleges marketing strategy;

       Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies for the website and develop search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns that support recruitment;

       Provide design support for print and digital materials that align with the Colleges brand identity;

       Integrate communications and marketing initiatives to ensure messaging is consistent with the Colleges brand identity;

       Measure, analyze, and report on effectiveness of marketing and engagement using web analytic tools;

       Serve as the primary liaison with the Office of Information Technology for Jenzabar EX support, the Colleges information management enterprise system.


Education and Experience:


       Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, or related field with 4-6 years of advanced experience in digital marketing and advertising;

       Advanced experience working in Content Management Systems such as Cascade Server or similar CMS;

       Demonstrated experience in the creative design and production of digital marketing and advertising materials, including video;

       Proven experience leading comprehensive social media strategies, familiarity with HootSuite highly desired;

       Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office and familiarity with current web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML;

       Experience generating, analyzing and interpreting web analytics to inform strategic decision making;

       Knowledge of emerging trends in marketing to demographics that include high school and college students

       Proven ability to multitask, plan and meet deadlines under time constraints;

       Experience working with cross-functional teams in a client-oriented manner;

       Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills;

       Ability to work independently and as part of a marketing team.


Preferred Experience:


Experience managing web communications, marketing and advertising functions in higher education is highly desirable. A deep understanding of higher education markets and the enrollment and admissions process for undergraduate programs is a plus.
