Public Health: Department of Community and Behavioral Health College of Public Health, The University of Iowa Tenure-Track or Tenured Faculty Position(s) - Open Rank The Department of Community and Behavioral Health in the University of Iowa's College of Public Health seeks applicants for an open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position to begin in academic year 2015-2016, 1-2 positions are available. We seek candidates with research interests in the social and behavioral aspects of public health, including but not limited to: aging, community-based intervention studies and/or community-based participatory research, health communication, health disparities, injury prevention, maternal and child health, prevention and management of chronic diseases and cancer, substance abuse and alcohol abuse prevention, women's health. Applicants must hold a doctorate in Public Health or Social Sciences or equivalent professional degrees in Behavioral Science, Social Science, Community Health, Health Promotion and/or Health Education or related areas. Evidence of extramural research funding and publications must be commensurate with years of professional experience since having an extramurally-funded research program, publishing in leading journals, and public health impact are expectations of our faculty. Evidence of high quality teaching is also required. Applicants should show the potential for collaborative research interactions with faculty in the primary department and with others across the university. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain the Department's levels of academic productivity in research, service and teaching and work closely with other academic units within The University of Iowa to effectively continue a commitment to collegiality and interdisciplinary collaboration.
