The Patton College of Education is hiring an Associate/Assistant Professor – Hospitality and Tourism 9 Month Academic Year, Tenure Track.
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 2015

Teach undergraduate courses in Hospitality and Tourism. Involvement in developing a master’s hospitality and tourism major.
Conduct scholarship in area of expertise and disseminate research in peer-reviewed journals and at professional conferences. Lead collaborative and experiential student learning activities including online instruction and web-based course development. Participate in committee work and professional organizations. Advise students. Serve as thesis director. Maintain contacts with industry and educational partners. We seek a candidate who is committed to working with students and colleagues from diverse populations. May have opportunities for Chairing the Department of Human and Consumer Sciences.

Minimum qualifications:
Ph.D. required by the time of the appointment. One degree must be in hospitality. Specialization courses in culinary, food and beverage service required. Industry experience (i.e., restaurants, resorts, country clubs, hotels) required. Post secondary teaching experience strongly preferred. Ability to teach food and beverage/hospitality graduate and undergraduate courses desired.
