The DSA is seeking two (2) candidates for open rank, full-time, tenure-track positions. Pending budgetary approval, the start date is August 2015, although in special circumstances, a start date of January 2015 may be considered. Candidates will have a strong teaching dossier and an active research agenda in sport management, sport finance, sport marketing, sport analytics, sport governance, economics of sport, or sport communication. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree that meets the AACSB standards for academic qualification as published by the AACSB (see http://www.aacsb.edu/accreditation/business/standards/participants/standard10.asp). Note that exceptional candidates who are professionally qualified under AACSB and hold a graduate degree in business or sport business may be considered for non-tenured, professionally qualified positions.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teaching and research potential, and have significant work experience in the sport industry. Additionally, they will possess experience using innovative teaching pedagogies, online teaching experience, a willingness to work with alumni and partners of the DSA, and the ability to assist in the continued development of curricula. The teaching load for the positions, provided AACSB qualifications are met, is five courses for academically qualified professors.

Positions are 9-month contracts, although opportunities to teach in the summer, international programs, and executive education exist. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience.
