Ohio University invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of the School of Accountancy
Ohio University is excited to announce the search for a new Director of the School of Accountancy. The mission of the School of Accountancy is to provide an engaging learning experience that transforms students into promising accounting professionals of integrity ready to serve the global economy. The school provides a superior education with innovative professors who challenge their students to excel and who support their students' professional aspirations. The School of Accountancy has maintained separate AACSB (the highest accounting accrediting body) accounting accreditation since 1995.
Founded in 1804, Ohio University is a major multi-campus public research institution, with its main campus in Athens, Ohio. Ohio University holds as its central purpose the intellectual and personal development of its students. Distinguished by its rich history, diverse campus, international community, and beautiful Appalachian setting, Ohio University is known for its outstanding faculty of accomplished teachers whose research and creative activity advance knowledge across many disciplines. The University has over 38,000 students across 8 campuses, with 23,000 students enrolled at the Athens Campus.
The College of Business, led by Dean Hugh Sherman, has 85 faculty members and over 3000 students. The School of Accountancy takes pride in its innovative problem-based curriculum and outstanding relationships with the Accounting Profession. Our students are highly recruited by Big 4 offices throughout the country, in addition to numerous regional public firms and corporate offices.
