Provides support for the coordination, analysis, development, and systematic collection of institutional data for planning, decision support, and reporting. Compiles and submits University statistics to the required state, national, governmental, and other external agencies.
Supports institutional decision making and business intelligence by collecting, analyzing, assembling and interpreting data in a concise summary. Ensures accurate, on-time publishing of statistical data for a variety of publications and reports at the institutional and national level. Establishes measures to ensure data integrity and reliability. Verifies accuracy and internal consistency of data used for reporting.
Designs, coordinates and/or conducts studies based on institutional needs and priorities. Exercises project responsibility from conceptual design and problem definition/hypothesis development through to data collection, analysis, interpretation and findings, which may include but is not limited to, working with multiple constituencies on campus to define the needs and constraints of a project, extracting data from various institutional data systems and merging of data sets.
Makes recommendations as necessary and appropriate to enhance data collection and reporting. Analyzes and makes recommendations on retention data related to the Universitys at-risk student population.
Assists in the development and analysis of institutional key performance indicators (KPI) and outcomes. Monitors institutional benchmarks and conducts peer analysis for competitive advantage and business review. Develops and runs various models for forecasting and projections.
Participates in strategic planning initiatives including data generation and analysis using both internal and external databases and sources.
Researches higher education trends. Collects, analyzes and disseminates data for divisions, departments and offices throughout the University. Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters, in any way, involving the University and its agents or employees that come to the attention of the incumbent through whatever means, except as publishable in carrying out specific enumerated responsibilities of the job.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
