The University of Wisconsin, Department of Biomedical Engineering, is seeking faculty members in all areas and at all levels. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or related field and their research should have clear implications for improving human health.

The following areas are of particular interest, but candidates from all areas are welcome:
Neuroengineering: neural instrumentation, prostheses and interfaces, neural imaging, neural repair and regeneration, neural signal processing, computational neurosciences, and clinical neuroengineering;
Systems Biology: regulatory networks, multiscale modeling, stochastic modeling, transcription and signaling in single cells, proteomics/phosphoproteomics;

Global Health: design and implementation of sustainable engineering solutions to problems in global health.
Candidates will be expected to develop an exceptional research program, advise graduate students and post-graduate researchers, and develop and maintain extramural funding for this research program; teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop new courses; participate in outreach and service to industry and government; and participate in service activities in the department, college, and/or university.
