The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for a Business Manager. This position will manage all aspects of college human resource administration, including:
*Working with departments and schools to develop position descriptions
*Creating job postings in the university's position management system for full time faculty, full time staff, and visiting scholars
*Supervising the creation of job posting in the university's position management system for student workers and adjunct faculty
*Arranging for job posting advertisements
*Coordinating college equal opportunity compliance
*Serving on hiring committees as necessary
*Coordinate annual review process for all staff
*Assist supervisors in performance management process
*Manage salary increase process for the college
*Coordinate benefits information for the college
*Manage ACA compliance for the college
*Manage payroll accounting, including position budgeting, cost distributions, and payroll budget variances
*Manage FMLA process for the college
*Manage staff leave requests
*Assist with faculty leave requests
*Serve as college approver of time off requests and non-exempt employee timesheets
*Manage the college's organization hierarchy, including position relationships
*Coordinate and track position system roles in UCFlex
Primary Back-up for College Financial Administrator
Other duties as assigned
Job Description: Professional employees that typically have direct supervisory responsibilities of a unit or multiple units, in addition to major management responsibilities for a wide range of projects/tasks associated with primary business operations, academic, or student services.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience; OR associate degree with 5 years experience; OR 7 years experience. Degree must be in Business Administration or related field. Financial and administrative experience is required and must include 1 year supervision.
Ideal Qualifications: Prior experience with human resource processes, including FMLA administration and performance management.
Prior financial analysis experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Prior experience with large enterprise human resource management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle/PeopleSoft, etc.)
