Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this 12-month, tenure-track appointment are in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and include teaching, scholarship and service. Primary teaching responsibilities include exercise physiology and therapeutic exercise. Opportunities also exist to teach in other areas of expertise within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program curriculum. Candidates who have a documented record of teaching and scholarship excellence, who are innovative and value a dynamic, integrated and comprehensive approach to physical therapy education, and who are seeking a vibrant, interdisciplinary working environment are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: The ideal candidate currently holds a terminal degree (PhD, EdD, etc.). Candidate's possessing an entry level physical therapy degree is preferred however not required.

The Program: The Carroll University Doctor of Physical Therapy program has recently been approved to increase program enrollment to meet societal needs. With the recent growth in the size of the program, additional faculty positions are being added. The hallmark of the programs mission is to educate students for general practice in an evolving and interdisciplinary healthcare environment. Interdisciplinary research initiatives and innovative local and international service learning programs support the mission. The direct admit Doctor of Physical Therapy program is housed in the Department of Human Movement Sciences and College of Natural Sciences and Health Sciences. It is closely affiliated with the Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Nursing, Physical and Health Education, Public Health, and Physician Assistant programs. The program is housed at the Carroll University Center for Graduate Studies, a newly renovated 55,000 sq. ft. interdisciplinary graduate facility. This facility includes comprehensive teaching and state of the art laboratory spaces for both teaching and scholarly endeavors.
The College: The College of Natural Sciences and Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through five departments - Life Sciences (animal behavior, biology, environmental science, psychology); Computational and Physical Sciences (actuarial science, applied physics/engineering, chemistry, computational science, computer science, information technology, mathematics, physics, software engineering); Health and Medical Sciences (health science-radiological sciences and medial sonography, physical and health education, physician assistant studies, public health, sports and recreation management, therapeutic recreation), Human Movement Sciences (athletic training, exercise science, exercise physiology, physical therapy); and Nursing (BSN, RN to BSN). The College has a strong staff of academic administrative and support personnel.
