The Department of History at Ohio University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Early American history before 1783.  Applicants must have a strong record of research and an agenda for future scholarly achievement.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper-division courses in early American history before 1783, an upper-division course on Native American history, and an introductory survey of American history before 1865.  Teaching load is two courses per semester. Ph.D. required by August 2015.
