The University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business is seeking a qualified Director of Administration. The Director of Administration (DoA) manages and directs the School’s business operations; serves as a strategic advisor to the Dean, Associate Deans, and senior staff; manages highly visible and complex projects for the Dean; handles internal and external relations; and oversees the daily operations of the Dean’s Office. Business Operations responsibilities include providing oversight and management of the School’s budgetary, human resources, payroll, facilities functions, faculty operations, and administrative support. As a strategic advisor, the DoA provides counsel and advice in the development, integration, and implementation of the School’s and departments’ strategic goals and initiatives.
As project manager for the Dean, the DoA will manage both Dean’s Office and School-wide projects, collaborating with the Dean to develop project objectives and manage projects to completion. This position will oversee the daily operations of the Dean’s Office, including: managing staff, developing departmental policies/procedures, and ensuring efficient operations. The DoA will provide direction and supervision to Information Technology and Marketing Communications functions.
Baccalaureate degree is required. Master’s Degree and previous University experience is preferred.
Requires five to seven years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in project, budget, communications, and/or human resources management is preferred.
