Northern State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.
Qualifications: Masters degree in student personnel or related field required. Minimum five years experience in a leadership role in student affairs preferred. Knowledge of various areas of student affairs including: career development, disability services, and multicultural affairs. Strong supervisory skills needed. Ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal and strong organizational skills. Collaborative working style.
Responsibilities: The primary purpose of this position is to service as an administrative link between the Vice President and selected components of the Student Affairs Division. The Associate Vice President will assist in providing leadership and administrative oversight for the Student Affairs Division. Will have general oversight over: Counseling Center, Disability Services, Multicultural Affairs and the Childrens Center. The AVP will provide assistance to the Vice President in oversight of all other divisions including Admissions, Residence Life, Financial Aid and Student Activities.
