The School of Continuing Education seeks candidates for part-time positions of Lecturer in Discipline, to serve as Faculty in our Business program, for the fall 2014, spring 2015, and summer semesters in both online and face-to-face settings.
The School seeks individuals with a vibrant portfolio of academic study, professional experience and publications to teach one or more of the following courses during the academic year or summer:
- Introduction to Finance
- Corporate Finance
- Financial Accounting
- Introduction to Marketing
- Marketing Strategy
Candidates should have extensive leadership experience applying their discipline across a wide spectrum of industries/sectors; substantial teaching experience; and deep and demonstrated understanding of the academic and applied trends that are driving best practice.
Teaching and advising in the Program and related programming areas is expected, in addition to active participation in curriculum and program development. The candidate must be capable of contributing to the programs academic mission, and demonstrate the potential for vision and direction that will be required for all aspects of the position. International teaching and/or professional experience is preferred but not required.

Minimum Degree Required: Terminal degree (MBA/JD) or PhD in subject matter from an AACSB accredited institution
All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position. Candidates for the SCE Lecturer in Discipline position must have a Terminal Degree (MBA/JD) or PhD in a related field and have demonstrated and show promise of continuing to make significant contributions to their areas of professional practice and accompanying pedagogy. Graduate-level teaching experience required.
- Knowledge of a broad base of theoretical disciplines and practical application in the area of expertise
- 3+ years teaching experience in a university setting, preferably at the graduate level.
- Professional experience
- 8+ years working in the field of concentration.
- Peer-reviewed publications/contribution to area of discipline
- Member of Business Association (AMA, SA etc.) /Certifications (CPA, CFA, FP)
- Global professional and/or teaching experience.
